Here is the help center of MadeInChina.com. This page gives you a tour of this site's organization and explains how to use those functions and features it provides. If you still have any question when using MadeInChina.com, please contact us and we will reply as soon as possible.

Registration and Sign in

Membership types

There are two types of registered membership: Supplier and Buyer:

  • Supplier: free membership for companies within China.
  • Buyer: free membership for companies outside China.

All our website users could use the sourcing tools to search for products, suppliers and selling leads, as well as browse business news, trade shows, etc. You can also use ‘contact now’ to inquiry about the product and selling leads. But only the registered members can use the functions of My Office. There are some differences between different registered memberships in My Office:

Registration

Take following steps to be a member of our website:

1.Click 'Join Now' to begin registration.

2.Select the role you want to be. As a buyer, you should also select your country/territory. But as a supplier, your country is China as default.

3.Different role, different register information

Register as a Supplier

This interface is in Chinese. You just need to complete the registration form and submit. Then you can use these functions in My Office, such as Products, Selling Leads, etc. But these information you post will not be displayed on our website until your register information has been approved.

Register as a Buyer

On our website, users from the entire world except China can only register as buyer. After you complete the following registration form and submit, the registration is successfully completed. As a buyer you can search for products, selling leads, suppliers, and also contact the suppliers to inquiry on the products which you are interested in. You can also post buying leads on our website to attract suppliers' attention. Then you can get selling leads matching your criteria easily.

Tip: For security reasons, Member ID and Country/Territory cannot be changed after registration. see the demo

Sign in

1.Click'Sign in' on the search bar.

2.Enter your user name, password and security code.

3.Click 'Sign In' button.

 

If you forget your password, please click 'Forgot my password?' to retrieve your password. Enter your username and security code, and then we will send you an e-mail to your registered email box. You may click the URL to change your password in My Office.

Search

Search for products, selling leads, or suppliers

To find products, selling leads, or suppliers, you can either use the search box, or browse the product categories. You can also refine your search criteria to get more accurate results by the following tips:

  • Use 'Advanced Search' function.
  • Use 'Search within result' function on the bottom of the search results.
  • 'Refine search by category' above the search results.
  • Use the filters on the left, such as post date of products or selling leads, business type of suppliers, etc.
  • You can also review your searching and browsing history in 'My Recent History', such as products viewed, search keywords used, etc.

 

Browse Categories


Search for products by browsing our categories. There are 3 category levels at most. Click either category to open Category page, and then select sub-category to find products listed within that sub-category. You can also click the 'Selling leads' tab or 'Supplier' tab on the search box to view selling leads or suppliers within the sub-category.

Search results

There are some tips when you browse the search result and its details:

  • Click 'Add to My List' to add this item to 'My List'.
  • Click the product/selling lead name or picture to view its detailed information, when click the supplier name to browse its showroom.
  • Click 'Matching Results' to view similar products of the supplier.
  • Click 'Contact now' to inquiry about the product(s), selling lead(s) or supplier(s).

Sponsor Results

Sponsor Results are paid listings provided by MadeInChina Sponsored Search that appear on MadeInChina Search results pages and within selected Directory categories. This program uses a performance-based model in which businesses bid for enhanced placement in search results on terms that are relevant to their business, and pay on a per-click basis.

 

You'll see Sponsor Results only when they're relevant to the specific search terms you used. For example, if you search for "cellular phones," you'll see Sponsor Results for web sites that provide information about or sell cellular phones.

 

The MadeInChina Search results page and selected Directory categories separate Sponsor Results from all the other results on the page so you can tell them apart.

Resources

The Resources channel is a real-time information platform where our website users find current and essential information referring to international trade, such as china and international news, industry updates, tradeshows, etc. It includes:

  • News: global latest and popular news in every aspect with clustering and ordering.
  • Business: business information including Industry Update, Tradeshow, Government.
  • Featured Map: an electronic map of China for users to learn about territories or cities, and their abstract description about their human, geography, custom, economy, local special products, famous corporations, and so on.
  • Tools: some useful tools links.

My Office

My Office is an online business center for our website users to send and receive messages, manage company profile and products, and also trading leads. The main sections and their functions are:

  • Message Center - Send, receive messages.
  • Manage Account - Add or edit your company and personal profile, and change password.
  • Trading Tools - Post products, selling leads and buying leads, and also subscribe trade alerts.
  • Feedback - feedback management.

First page

The main sections and their functions are:

  • New messages: browse new messages unread.
  • Bulletin board: view bulletin for member and system broadcast.
  • Left Navigation bar: there is a list for the differences of each type member. View details in 'Membership types'.

Message Center

Message Center is a mutual communication space for madeinchina.com members sending or receiving messages. As a registered Supplier, you also can receive 'Contact now' messages here. In other words, it is just as your regular E-mail box. The main sections and their functions are:

  • Inbox - read, reply and delete received message.
  • Sent box - read and delete sent message.
  • Trash - read and recover deleted message, and empty the trash.
  • Address Book - add and delete contact information, and set groups of contact list.
  • Setting - manage message folders, contact groups and block list.

Inbox

In Inbox you can:

  • Read message - Just click the message subject, then you can read, reply or delete the message. If you wish to move a message to other folder, just click the drop-down box to select a folder, and click 'Go'. You can also move messages to other folder just by selecting them in initial page of Inbox, then select the folder and click 'Go'.
  • Tips:
    1. Input keywords referring to the subject into the search box, and click 'Search' button to search for the message you need.
    2. Click the drop-down box to view the message in this folder.
    3. The icon Add to address book indicates that the sender is not in your contact list, but you can click the icon to add this contact information into your address book.
    4. The icon means is read, while the icon means is unread.

  • Move message to another folder - Select the message, then click the drop-down box to select a folder, and click 'Go' at last.
  • Send or reply message - Click 'Send Message', or click 'Reply' to open the 'Send Message' page. Then enter subject and message content, select receiver by clicking 'Select from address book', and finally click 'Send' button.

Sent Box

Here you can manage your sent messages.


Trash

Trash is automatically emptied every two months.


Address Book

All the contact information is in Address Book. Here you can:

  • View contact information by group - click drop-down box to view the contact information in the group. You can edit the contact information by clicking 'Edit Address' button.
  • Send message - select a receiver, and click 'Send Message' to send message.
  • Delete contact information.
  • Move contact information to another group - select the contact information, and select the group from the drop-down box. Then click 'Go'.
  • Manage contact group - click 'Manage Group' to manage contact groups information.

Settings

The main sections and their functions are:

  • Folders - add, delete and rename message folders.
  • Contact Groups - add, delete and rename groups, the same as Folders.
  • Block List - filter out unwanted contact and messages.

To add a sender to block list, you can move the sender to block list in inbox, or add the sender information in 'Block List Manage'. You also can release blocked sender by unblocking the selected sender here.

Manage Account

Manage Account is an information managing center for members to add and edit your company and personal profile. We genuinely suggest you completing all your company details to reinforce your online presence and credibility. The main sections and their functions are:

  • Company Profile - add and edit company details and contact details.
  • News & Shows - add and edit your latest news and shows.
  • Honors - add and edit company certificates and honors.
  • Member Profile - edit member register information.
  • Change Password

There are some differences between different types of member in 'Manage Account'. View details in 'Membership types'.

Company Profile

Please complete the form with accurate and detailed information to ensure that your potential customers could get more complete information. Here are some tips:

  • The item with an asterisk cannot be null.
  • For security reasons, 'Country/region' information in Contact details cannot be modified after you have submitted the information in the registration.

News & Shows

Here you can manage your news and shows by the following instructions:

  • Add news - enter news topic, URL and abstract description, and submit. Then it will be displayed in your showroom after validated by our operating administrator.
  • Rank displayed news - input the serial number of validated news into 'Order' box and click'Rearrange'.
  • Edit rejected news - click icon to edit the rejected news and submit again.
  • Delete news

All the functions in 'Shows' are the same as 'News'.

Honors

Here you can manage your honors by the following instructions:

  • Add new certificates and honors.
  • Rank displayed certificates and honors - the same as News & Shows.
  • Edit rejected certificates and honors - the same as New & Shows.
  • Delete certificates and honors.

Here are some tips in 'add new certificates and honors':

Types of certificates and honors submitted:

1.Management system certification, such as ISO9000, ISO14000, OHSAS18000, HACCP, and etc.

2.Management admission series, such as Organization Code, health license, Trademark license, State Tax license, Local Tax license, Environment Protection license, and etc.

3.International trade series, such as Import & Export Enterprise Qualification Certificate, and etc.

4.Product certificate series, such as Testing Report both home and abroad (3C, UL, CE, GS etc), Product Admission license, Green Product certificate, Certificate for Product Exemption from Quality Surveillance Inspection by State.

5.Letters patent

6.Enterprise honors, such as Credit Level Certificate of Bank, Certificate of Keep Contract and Credit, Honor of Consumers' Association, Industry Credit Level.


Steps to submit a certificate or other honor:

1.Enter the necessary information, such as certificate name, No., issued organization and etc.

2.Select the type of certificates or honors from the drop-down box.

3.Upload the certificates or honors photo.

4.Submit, and wait for our validation.

Make sure the item with an asterisk is completed.

Member Profile

Member Profile is the information center for members to manage their register information, such as Name, register Email, etc.


Change Password

Trading Tools

Trading tools is trading leads release center for registered members to post their products, selling leads, and buying leads. Besides, registered members also could subscribe trade alerts about new products, selling leads and suppliers. Then this information you post will be displayed in your showroom after validated by our operating team. The main sections and their functions are:

  • Products - Post, rank your products.
  • Buying Leads - Manage your buying leads.
  • Selling Leads - Manage your selling leads.
  • Groups - Manage your products groups and selling leads groups.
  • Trade Alerts - subscribe trade alerts about products, selling leads and suppliers.

There are some differences between different types of member in 'Trading Tools'. View details in 'Membership types'.

Top

Products

As a registered supplier, you can manage your products and groups displayed in your showroom. Here you can :

  • Product Management - add, edit, and delete your products.
  • Product Ordering - Change your products display status and order.

Add products by following steps:

1.Click 'Post a new product' button.

2.Complete the fields in the form. Make sure the items marked with star are not null, and submit a picture of your product.

3.Preview the product, or submit directly.


Your post products will be through approval process to ensure the content of the products. But the process will be completed within 24 hours, and only the approved products will be available to display in your showroom.


Rank your products by following steps:

1.Select a product group.

2.Enter the display order into the blank.

3.Click 'Rearrange'.


Only approved products whose display status is on will be displayed in your showroom. So you can change the products display status to decide if you want to display them. Select the products, and click 'Display' to display it, or click 'Hide' to change their status into off.


Tips:

  • As a registered supplier, you can add 20 groups at most, when add unlimited products.
  • Repost - Just select your products, and click 'Repost' to change your products' post date. This operation will not change the approval status of your products, but make your products get a prior position in our search engine.
  • When posting products, you can import product information from your posted products by clicking 'Import from my products list'. This operation will make your post process easier and quicker.
  • Transform - Post a product, and post a selling lead at the same time. All you need to do is select an expiry date.
  • Post or edit products need to be through approval process, while groups management not.
  • All the information of the product must be in English, and don't use special characters not adequate to standard text format.
  • The pending product cannot be edited or deleted until it is approved or rejected.
  • For some security reason, your change of products or group will not be shown in your showroom immediately. But the period will not exceed 24 hours.

Buying Leads

Buying leads is where suppliers and buyer directly post their buying trade offers. It can contain product information, availability, timelines, etc. Here you can:

  • Buying Leads Management - add, edit, and delete your buying leads.
  • Buying Leads Ordering - Change your buying leads' display order.

'Buying leads' is similar as 'Products', including add, edit, and rank. And also you can post unlimited buying leads.

Selling Leads

Selling leads is where suppliers directly post selling trade offers. It is different from 'Products' in a sense that it is more direct and active selling offers unlike 'Products' where sellers just post them online. It can contain product information, availability, timelines, etc. Here you can:

  • Selling Leads Management - add, edit, and delete your selling leads.
  • Selling leads Ordering - Change your selling leads' display order.

'Selling leads' is similar as 'Products', including add and edit selling leads, rank selling leads, etc.


Tips:

  • Select the selling leads, and click 'Repost' button to update your selling leads' post date and expiry date.This operation will not change the approval status of your selling leads, but make your them get a prior position in our search engine.
  • You can post selling leads as many as you wish.
  • You can also import product information to selling leads by using the function of 'Import product from my products list' on page 'Post selling leads'. Also you can import several products at a time by click the 'Import' button on page of 'Selling Leads Management'.

Groups

Here you can manage your groups of products, selling leads and buying leads.


You may add 20 groups at most in every group management, and also change their display order in your showroom.

Trade Alerts

Trade Alerts let you set and receive email alerts for specific criteria. You define the search condition for the alert, and Trade Alert emails you the updated products or companies you are looking for.


Add trade alert:

1.Click 'Add trade alerts' button.

2.Enter your search keywords

3.Refine other search criteria, such as Frequency, Content Type, etc.

4.Submit.


You may add 5 trade alerts at most. If you want to cancel the subscription, just delete the trade alert.

Feedback

Feedback is a help center for members to complain, suggest, question, and etc. In addition, you can review your released feedback. If you have not been a registered member of our website, you could click 'Comment' on search bar to make a complaint or question.


Take the following steps to make a complaint or ask a question:

1.Select one type of feedback.

2.Enter subject and content, also URL if possible.

3.Submit and wait for our response.


Additionally, you can also review and manage your released feedback in My Feedback List. The icon indicates responded, while the icon means pending. The pending items can be withdrawn, but responded items could only be deleted. Click the subject, and view the feedback detail and its response status.

View My Showroom

After your register information has been validated by our operating team, we will allocate a showroom space for displaying your company, products, selling leads, etc. You can click 'View my showroom' button to view your showroom directly. But buyer only could see their buying leads in their showroom.

My List

My List is just like a shopping cart in which you can put your interested products and companies. Here you can send all your 'contact now' messages to these companies at the same time, instead of sending them to each one at a time. You can also compare products or companies.


While exploring on our site, you can select your interested products and companies, and add them in 'My List'. But if you have not logged in, your items will only remain until you close your explorer. After you have logged in, the products or companies you put in My List will remain until you delete them. You can add 100 products or companies at most.


Tips:

For some security reason, product and company update may not be synchronous. If the supplier deletes his products, or the supplier is forbidden by our website, the products or company information could not be added to 'My List', and the products or companies which you have added to 'My List' will disappear. And if the supplier changes his products information, your items in 'My List' will be changed either.

Showroom

Showroom is an online display stage for registered suppliers to display their company, products, trade leads, and also news and honors. It is composed of About us, Products, Trade leads, and Honors & News.


Tips:
  • Update your showroom profile in My Office.
  • Click 'Add to My List' button to add this company to your favorite.
  • Click 'Contact now' to inquire price about your favorite company or product.

About us

View company profile, such as main product or service, OEM service, contact information, etc.


Products

Here you can:

  • Browse products list by group and view product details.
  • Select interested products, and click button to add them to 'My List'. Or click 'Contact now' to contact with the supplier about the products.


Trade Leads

Here you can:

  • Browse selling leads and buying leads list by group and view their details.
  • Select interested trade leads, and click button to add them to 'My List'. Or click 'Contact now' to contact with the supplier about these trade leads.


Honors & News

Browse company news, trade shows, and honors.

Contact Now

There are three zones for you to do 'Contact now':
1. In search list after you have found items by using the search box.
2. In 'My List' where you have added your interested products and companies.
3. In suppliers' showroom where you can browse products of your concerned company.


Contact now just by following steps:
1. Select your interested products or companies, and click 'Contact Now'. If you wish to contact the company of the showroom, just click 'Contact Now' button beside the button of 'Add to Company List' under company name.
2. All these suppliers you selecte are listed on the 'Contact Now' form as recipients.
3. Complete the fields in the form. If you are registered and logged on, your contact form will be automatically pre-completed with your company and contact information.
4. Click Send.


Tips:
1.You can contact 10 items once at most.
2.As a registered supplier, you can receive your 'contact now' message both in your inbox and e-mail.

3.To inquiry about buying leads, you should complete your company profile and have your own products.
